Day One Spanish, episode seven of twenty. Today, the weather — and one of the language's most charming habits: Spanish weather isn't being, it's MADE. Hace cuarenta grados — it makes forty degrees. Hace calor, hace frío. You also learn hay (there is) and no hay (there isn't), arguably the most useful little word of the month, plus the compass — el norte, el sur. By the end you'll understand and say a real Spanish news sentence: Hace cuarenta grados en el sur y no hay lluvia.
