Green speed also changes the required Aim Point. On fast greens (higher Stimp), the ball needs less initial energy, rolls longer, and therefore breaks more than on slower greens with the same slope.
The Fall Line—the steepest downhill direction through the hole—is the reference for every calculation. Sidehill putts experience the greatest sideways influence, while uphill and downhill putts are affected more along the direction of travel.
