Hey there, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. You know, it's Friday morning, and if you're anything like me, you're probably feeling that particular kind of tired where stress has been quietly collecting in your shoulders all week like snow on a winter roof. So let's take the next few minutes and actually do something about that, yeah?

Find yourself a comfortable seat, maybe somewhere that feels a little quieter than the rest of your day. You don't need anything fancy. Just you, and this moment, and me in your ear like a friend who actually gets it.

Let's start by noticing your breath. Not changing it, not forcing anything. Just notice. You're already breathing, beautifully, without even trying. That's your superpower right there. Breathe in through your nose if that feels good, and out through your mouth. Feel that? That's your nervous system already starting to say, okay, maybe we can relax a little.

Now, here's my favorite stress-relief trick, and I call it the anchor breath. Think of your breath like an anchor on a boat in choppy water. The water around it might be moving like crazy, but that anchor holds steady. As you breathe in, silently say the word calm. As you breathe out, say release. Calm on the inhale. Release on the exhale. Let those words become your anchor.

Inhale, calm. Feel that breath moving all the way down into your belly, like you're filling a glass from the bottom up. Exhale, release. Let your shoulders drop. Let your jaw soften. You're shedding this week like an old coat. Keep going. Calm. Release. Calm. Release.

Notice what's happening in your body right now. That tightness in your chest? It's loosening. That knot in your stomach? Starting to unwind. You're not changing anything big here. You're just giving your nervous system permission to remember what calm actually feels like. Stay with it.

When your mind wanders, and it will, that's not failure. That's the practice. Just gently bring it back to calm. Release. You're not fighting stress. You're remembering yourself.

As we wrap up, carry this anchor with you. Whenever you feel that stress creeping back in today, pause and do just three breaths. Calm. Release. That's all you need. Your nervous system will remember this moment, I promise.

Thank you so much for spending this time on yourself today. That takes courage, and I mean that. If this resonated with you, please subscribe so you don't miss next week's practice. You deserve this peace.
