Hey there, friend. It's Julia, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. Whether you're starting your Wednesday morning with that familiar knot in your chest, or you're somewhere in the middle of a week that's already asking too much of you, I see you. Stress has this sneaky way of settling into our bodies like an unwelcome houseguest, and today, we're going to show it the door. So take a breath, get comfortable, and let's do this together.

Before we dive in, I want you to notice where you are right now. Not where you should be or where you're worried about going, but here. Maybe you're sitting somewhere quiet, maybe there's noise around you, and that's absolutely fine. Your nervous system doesn't need perfect conditions to reset. It just needs your attention.

Let's start by bringing awareness to your breath. Not changing it, not forcing it into some yogic shape, just noticing it. Breathe in naturally through your nose, and as you exhale, imagine you're releasing tension like smoke drifting away on a breeze. In through the nose for a count of four. Pause for a moment. Out through the mouth for a count of six. There's something powerful about making that exhale longer, about literally pushing stress out of your body with more intention than you're pulling it in.

Now, here's the practice I want to guide you through. It's called the Stress Release Scan, and it's going to feel like you're checking in with yourself like an old friend. Starting at the top of your head, notice if there's any tightness, any clenching. You might feel it in your jaw, your temples, your forehead. Don't judge it. Just notice it and breathe into that space. As you exhale, imagine softness melting through those muscles like butter on warm toast.

Slowly move your attention down. Your shoulders, they love to hold tension, don't they? Notice if they're creeping up toward your ears. Breathe into them. Release.

Your chest and heart space. This is where anxiety loves to camp out. Breathe here with real kindness. Your stomach. Your lower back. Your legs and feet.

You're not trying to fix anything. You're simply creating space between yourself and the stress, noticing that you are not your stress. The stress is something happening, not something you are.

As we wrap up, carry this with you today. When you feel that familiar tightness creeping back, pause, and do one single thing: make your exhale longer than your inhale. That's your reset button, waiting in your pocket at any moment.

Thank you so much for joining me on Stress Relief today. Your commitment to showing up for yourself matters more than you know. Please subscribe so we can keep doing this together, because you deserve to feel this calm more often.
