At the 2026 USA Outdoor Championships, Noah Lyles won his 3rd national title in the 100m. His winning time of 9.79 seconds, not only tied his personal best, but was almost a full 10th of a second ahead of 2nd place.
Noah has always been known as more of a 200m guy and is undeniably one of the best in history. But in the 100m, he started off a bit underestimated, had some mixed results. And in recent years he’s gotten much more consistent, and became the best sprinter in the country.
But today we go a step farther and argue way Noah is possibly more impressive than anyone we have seen since Carl Lewis in the 80s and the 90s.
