An ability to evolve but remain grounded is being pinpointed as a key reason behind a bumper contract extension for Warriors coach Andrew Webster.

The 44-year old is set to remain at the helm of the NRL side for another six years - after signing a new four-year deal until the end of 2032.

Chief executive Cameron George says both him and Webster had a shared vision about where they wanted to take the Warriors.

"It's not just going to happen in the next two years, it's going to happen in the next 5, 6, 7 years. So for all those key reasons, it's better off to lock away someone we truly believe is the best fit."
