The new play "benevolent" follows four young women in 1917 at Inwood Benevolent Home, a terrible Manhattan reformatory for women down on their luck. Playwright Sophie McIntosh, director Nina Goodheart, and actor Mia Fowler discuss the play, running at IATI Theater now.
