Sony made two disturbing announcements recently—first, it is removing over 500 StudioCanal movies from its online PlayStation Store, so that people who bought those titles will no longer have access to them. Second, Sony will no longer sell games for the PlayStation on physical discs. Is this the start of the slippery slope that leads to the death of physical media more generally?
