The Six Shooter, “The Double Seven,” originally broadcast May 13, 1954. Episode 33 of NBC’s sustaining Western series stars James Stewart as drifter Britt Ponset and was written by Frank Burt, with Jack Johnstone directing and producing.

At Halfway Creek, rancher Gid Baskin believes local homesteaders are stealing cattle from the Double Seven Ranch and hires a gunman to force them out. Britt Ponset arrives in time to face a tense rancher-versus-sodbuster conflict and work to keep the peace before it turns violent.
