A family outing on New York Harbor turned tragic when a boat carrying 14 people capsized near the Statue of Liberty, killing a Queens mother and her five-month-old daughter. The boat’s captain now faces more than a dozen criminal charges as investigators examine whether the vessel was dangerously overloaded and what caused it to flip. Plus, ICE says more than 1,200 people were arrested during a sweeping immigration enforcement operation across the Atlanta area. Federal officials say hundreds of those arrested had criminal charges or convictions and promise similar operations will continue nationwide.
