-Nvidia (NVDA) drops ahead of quarterly earnings. Wall Street is anticipating Nvidia Corp.'s earnings for what they mean to artificial intelligence investors and the market itself. Nvidia is considered the best barometer for AI spending, and its earnings will help determine if hyperscalers are still accelerating or becoming more disciplined.
-Intuit (INTU) shares slump. The tax-preparation software company gave a full-year forecast for both adjusted earnings and revenue that was weaker than expected, and which added to concerns about AI-related disruption.
- J M Smucker (SJM) raised its full-year outlook for sales and profit, buoyed by growth in its Uncrustables sandwiches and coffee. The packaged food company said it now expects adjusted earnings per share for fiscal 2027 of between $10.50 and $11.00, up from its prior estimate of $9.75 to $10.25. Smucker expects net sales to fall 1% to 2%, an improvement over its previous forecast of a decline of 3% to 4%.
