This story was originally published in 1925 in Hutchinson's Magazine. Written by E.F. Benson, the tale follows a businessman traveling along the southern coast of England. On his way to meet an acquaintance for a golf trip, he finds himself mesmerized by the strange beauty of a small coastal town. One that appears to contain tides that follow no logical pattern, and strange bird calls that conform to no known species.
