Paramount Primal has officially secured the film rights to The Troop, a celebrated 2014 horror novel written by Nick Cutter. The movie adaptation will be scripted by Chris Basler, a writer with an extensive background in developing genre projects for major studios. This chilling story centers on a scout troop whose wilderness excursion descends into chaos after they encounter a person carrying a lethal infection.
