Is it just me or do clothes have this incredible ability to look super cute on the hanger or styled on a mannequin... and then five minutes later, you're standing in a fitting room wondering if you accidentally grabbed a completely different shirt by mistake?

 

What's actually happening? Why do clothes often look way better on the hanger than they do once we try them on? Is it the lighting? The styling? Our bodies? The clothes themselves?
