Left home alone while their parents are away on a business trip, a young narrator and his sister, Lucy, are tasked with clearing out their attic, where they discover a box containing two eerie, vintage porcelain dolls stitched together at the hands—one with its eyes scribbled out in black ink and the other with its mouth blackened. After pulling a string on the back of the dolls and hearing a sinister voice whisper "Together forever" followed by unnatural laughter, they trigger a series of supernatural occurrences as a malevolent entity begins stalking them throughout the house, subjecting the siblings to a terrifying ordeal where the dolls' mutilated, conjoined bond starts dangerously reflecting on their own reality.
