Even a few extra feet can feel soul crushing, but for the 10 thousand runners at the Edmonton marathon, that extra distance could be the difference between qualifying for the next race or not. After thousands of runners complained their GPS didn’t match with the official race distance, officials pushed back for days, but ultimately re-traced the route and admitted their mistake. The big question now, how will race organizers adjust run times to make it right?
