John Allen Chau spent years preparing for one mission: reach the Sentinelese — the world's most isolated tribe, on an island India has forbidden outsiders from entering since 1956 — and share the Christian gospel with them. He trained as a missionary, learned linguistics, made four prep trips to the Andaman Islands, and bribed local fishermen to ferry him close enough to kayak the rest of the way. Over three days, he approached the island multiple times — was shot at, fled, and came back. His 13-page journal, handed to the fishermen before his final swim to shore, documents every encounter in his own words. What happened after he walked up that beach, nobody knows — and nobody ever will. 00:00 Welcome to Disaster Strikes
