As we record this episode, Florida state officials are in the final stages of preparing 61 Year Old William Frances Silvia for execution. Silvia is set to die by lethal injection for the 2006 murder of his estranged wife, Patricia and the attempted murder of her mom. Silvia lost his job, his home, then decided to purchase a shotgun before heading to the home of his estranged wife’s mother to try and reconcile with her, ultimately shooting her mom first, then killing Patricia in front of her family. There are two more executions scheduled in Florida in the coming weeks, putting the state on pace to have another record breaking year in executions.
