As administrators grapple with decisions over the future of New Zealand’s domestic netball competition, the country’s leading players are headed for the exits.
This week will provide the clearest picture yet of the scale of the talent drain facing Netball New Zealand, as the contracting window for the Australian league opens today.
NZ Herald sports journalist Nathan Limm says there's a handful of players also being approached by UK-based clubs, and not just Silver Ferns either.
"Each UK club can only take on two imports, and those imports cannot play in the same area of the court. So while we're hearing a lot about different players getting talked to, it's fair to say that not everyone is going to be able to get a contract."
