Somebody Knows Something is a true crime series that asks whether the internet's obsession with unsolved cases, Reddit threads, true crime social media, armchair detectives, can actually help crack cases that have gone cold.

Kara Chamberlain and executive producer Ari Mark join the show to talk about it. Kara, who hosts the series, brings a deeply personal understanding of violent crime to these stories: she's a kidnapping survivor herself.

This episode covers the show's first two cases: the disappearance of baby Sabrina Aisenberg, missing from her crib in Valrico, Florida since November 1997, and the disappearance of 16-year-old LaShaya Stine, last seen in Aurora, Colorado in July 2016. Kara and Ari talk about why they chose these two cases, what they uncovered while making the series, and what it means for families who've been asking people to pay attention for years to finally have a platform that might reach the right person.

Somebody Knows Something premieres on Freeform and streams the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
