Ahead of Week 2 of San Francisco's preseason, star tight end George Kittle took to the podium to update reporters on his recovery from a torn right Achilles tendon suffered during last season's NFL playoffs. Kittle remains confident he won't start the season on the PUP list and stated he could be back for the 49ers' regular-season opener in Australia. On "49ers Talk," Matt Maiocco and Jennifer Lee Chan discuss Kittle's progress and look forward to San Francisco's second preseason game against Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers. Later, Matt sits down with rookie Carver Willis in the fifth edition of Meet the Rookies.
