The Miami Dolphins are coming out of their preseason opener with two very different stories.
The first-team offense looked sharp against Washington, driving 93 yards in 14 plays for a touchdown behind Malik Willis, De’Von Achane and an impressive performance from Miami’s starting offensive line. But after the starters left, the Dolphins struggled badly — raising serious questions about quarterback depth, offensive-line depth and which players can actually be trusted behind the first unit.
Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber is joined by Locked On Dolphins host and ultimate Dolphins insider Kyle Crabbs and former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff “Z” Zgonina to break down everything Miami has learned since Friday night.
Malik Willis continues to build momentum. Caleb Douglas and Malik Washington continue to emerge. Jonah Savaiinaea’s physicality has drawn praise. Quinn Ewers is now week-to-week with a groin injury, making Miami’s backup quarterback situation even more important.
