"Late Fame" is an American drama film directed by Kent Jones, written by Samy Burch, and based on the posthumously published novella by Arthur Schnitzler. It stars Willem Dafoe as a legendary New York poet who rediscovers his artistic passion after befriending an eccentric group of young creatives played by Greta Lee and Edmund Donovan. The film had its world premiere in the Orizzonti section of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for Jones's direction, Burch's script, and the performances. Jones was kind enough to spend some time talking with us about his work and experience making the film, which you can watch or listen to below. Please be sure to check out the film, which is now playing in New York at the Film Forum and Film at Lincoln Center, and opens in Los Angeles on August 14th at the Laemmle Royal, with additional cities to follow from Magnolia Pictures. Thank you, and enjoy!
