Pernod Ricard Drops, Halfords Up, Aker Gains

Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.

- Pernod Ricard expects to hit only the lower end of its forecast range for sales growth in the next few years due to persistent weakness in the French drinks company’s key US market.
- Halfords climbs as much as 14%, to the highest since March 2022, after the UK vehicle parts and bicycle retailer lifts its 2027 underlying profit before tax guidance. This reflects strong year-to-date trading and positive impact from warm summer weather.
- Aker gains as much as 9.2%, the most since July 31, after announcing its second-largest portfolio holding, Nscale, has signed a contract to provide AI computing capacity at the Monarch site with a total contract value of around $45b.
